Wild Greens and Old Cars in Rio en Medio, NM

Wild Greens
I love all the colors and textures that surround me on this beautiful spring day in my neighborhood of Rio en Medio.  While foraging for some dandelion greens and watercress, I discovered a field of rusty old vehicles.   While my fresh wild greens will make a fortifying salad,  the old cars make great photographic material.

I love my shot where the tree is growing out of the truck.

Trip to El Salvador: Photographing the Woman of San Luis Los Ranchos' Indigo Project

Yesterday, I spent the day photographing "The Woman's Indigo Project" in a tiny mountain village called San Luis Los Ranchos.  Located an hour outside of San Salvador, the woman in this community are learning a non-chemical process of indigo dying and sewing through the non-profit group, CIS, El Salvador.  Through CIS, the woman are developing the skills necessary to produce a %100 percent natural product for the world marketplace.
